Creaking center arm rest?

I've got a fold down center arm rest on my 2015 Sierra. Today it started creaking/popping/snapping while driving when my arm is on it. Anyone had this issue? I'm not sure if going from 5 to 50 degrees outside over the course of a couple days has anything to do this.

Yeah I have the center console and mine does it too a little bit.

center console here, consistent problem, it's in the latch. at first I took a file and took a bit off the latch and that would work for awhile, but then I ended up lining the receiver part with black duct tape and that's done the trick. It kept making me think it was on the edges or somewhere else but it always came back to the latch. Pretty much anywhere plastic hits plastic on this truck will creak at some point.

There is a PI for this telling the dealer to file down parts of the latch. I know they did it to mine but I don't know the PI number (sorry!)

its just cheapo plastic. mine creaks and i wouldn't assume it wouldn't creak...

Going to have to give this a shot. Mine has gotten worse over the last few months. The whole time I've thought it was the sides, even added foam weather stripping to it... didn't think of the latch.

Got a pic of where you put the tape?

 

Any one get any rattles coming from the over head console? I do on mine and I think its coming form the sunglasses holder.
