The issue is that your mirrors with the upgraded puddle lamp/memory are all the same build of 1AMRP01786. This mirror is not pinned like the Factory GM pin out is. The factory GM pinout is:

Pin 1 - Running Lamp
Pin 2 - Cargo Lamp
Pin 13 - Turn Signal

You’re mirrors are pinned as:

Pin 1 - Puddle Lamp - Orange Wire
Pin 2 - Cargo Lamp - Yellow Wire
Pin 13 - Turn Signal

The Blue wire for the Running Lamp is left un-terminated and is presumed to be hardwired to gain its functionality.

Just got my DL3 Mirros installed on my 2016, HUGE thanks to pgamboa for his PnP wire harness.  The plug and play function made it way to easy.  Even removing the door pannels was a breeze as he had a video showing how to do it all.  I got everything installed in about an hour and I know have; power fold, power adjust, turn signal, puddle, and heat and everything looks stock.

For anyone removing the door panel for the first time, its not that easy on the top clips...they like to hold on.  This was probably the biggest hang up for me.

So I am a new member and a Silverado owner.

I have a 2017 Silverado Z71 Allstar edition.

My problem.... The tag in glove box says I have DL8 mirrors HOWEVER they do not appear to be heated OR have the turn signal leds in the mirror.

Can I still update to the DL3 power mirrors (aftermarket ones) and have heated mirrors with the turn indicators in them?

The electrical end is a piece of cake for me and I would go with your modified harness.

I have also been thinking about add the small camera's to the mirrors while I am at it so they show up on my LCD. Im getting old and think they would be nice.

DL3 mirrors are the ones that have power fold, turn signal, and puddle lamp. Your DL8 mirrors heat function is activated with the rear defogger button.

So not DL3 mirrors. DL3s is an RPO code for the smaller, power Folding GM Mirror. Ok, maybe we need to wait until I get back to fully qualify your upgrade path. Just to be 100% sure.

Got it. Then what you want are DQS Mirrors (If GM OEM). If aftermarket, we’ll be looking at specific models from 1A Auto/AM Auto.

No sir.  I want to say all I have is heated mirrors.  Wouldnèt mind adding the motorized ones, still heated (I'm in Canada), with the pond light, etc.
