Bedliner Questions

Really considering getting a spray in Bedliner, so I'm wondering, for those of you that have it - do you love it? is it worth the money? Is it way better than the drop in Bedliner from gm?

I never will get a drop in liner again . I have a Speedliner in my 2014. . The spray in's are durable and the part I like is I don't have to worry about things sliding all around . I believe it is a factory option now ??

Did they spray over all your tie down plugs?

I don't think it's factory but the dealer contracts with someone to do it if you check that box.

Those plugs are easily dug out if you want to add tie downs. Not sure how the factory does it. Mine came from the factory with a drop in, but they never secured it. It uses self tapping screws, I don't play those drilling holes and letting metal shaving hide and seek game. I also suggest undercoating. I live in the salt belt, I see lots of trucks around 5 years old with rust bubbles above the rear wheel.

I just wonder if it protects more than the drop in. As far as the undercoating, what pieces did they Coat? Just the frame? And how much did it cost?

Yea they did, just got the 9 pack of the tie downs and added them, took a utility knife and cut the covers out. Easy peasy

My Sierra came with a factory spay in liner. This is my first truck with spay in my,9 year old silverado never had one. One thing I miss on my old one is any grease,oil..etc was super easy to wipe up. Now that I really think about it, I think I like it better with out one. Just my .2

Cents.

I have a drop in in the 01, a rubber mat in the 07, and "factory" sprayed in the '17. They all are great, and they all suck. Probably the best thing going now is bed rug! (Grass always greener on the other side factor)

Thanks for the replies guys! I am going to get one scheduled. I'm a little interested in the undercoat, but not sure if it's necessary since I live in Oklahoma

I wouldn't undercoat unless they salt the roads in the winter where you live. I had it done after having to move from Florida to one exit south of Canada. Never even heard of it being a thing in the south. I also have a rubber bed mat, it cost $60 and is completely reversible and does basically everything a bedliner can do.

Check out bed rug, it's awesome.

It looks to be the same price, what's so good about it?

Don't have to grind your paint up to install it, you can crawl around your bed on a nice soft surface without hurting your knees, it flattens the bed of your truck, won't scratch up furniture when you slide it on the rug, doesn't puncture like linex, doesn't chip like linex, drop something heavy on it won't dent your bed like linex, cleans up like new with a hose or vacuum.

The bad is it takes a day or two to dry out if it gets wet and it can hold fibers pretty well(think hay).
