Debadging Question

3M eraser wheel that attaches to your drill. This thing takes all the time out of it. Heat up badges, fishing line to remove, then use the 3M eraser wheel. I have a black truck... Left no scratches at all. You'll need a little bit of goo-gone to gently remove left behind adhesive, spray detail the area, and I put some wax after everything was off.

Really a simple question: What do you guys use to get the adhesive glue off the truck when you're debadging it? I have done this before and just used fishing line to get most of it off, then Goo Gone and it worked like a charm. For some reason I'm having a pain in the ass getting the "Silverado" off both my doors tonight. I got 95% of the glue off but seem to be struggling with the little bit thats remaining. Any tips? I don't have a polished/buffer or I'd probably just use that.

Thanks guys.

Can anyone explain a little more on how to use the fishing line. Do u use a braid on regular line? Just slide it behind the emblems or use a sawing motion? Do u tie handles to it to help?

I just used regular line, and sawing motion while pulling downwards slightly. Make sure not to pull towards you, as you don't want the badge to angle too much and dig into the paint.

You can make loops on the end for your hands if you want, but I just wrapped a couple loops around my fingers.
