I would like one I could remote mount the receivers and patch it into the mylink screen so its as though its not even there. That would be sweet.

I have my Valentine 1 mounted in the same location works excellent. I looked at the passport max as well and have had good luck with escort products in the past. The fact remains... If you want protection over all else. The true essence of a detector. The v1 is the way to go. Just my 2 cents.

Agreed - I can deal with the false alarms from sliding doors and semi's CB radios because it also gives me positive hits on cops over a mile in advance (even with a lot of stuff in the way) and gives directional readings too which don't sound like they would be useful, but I find them incredibly useful sometimes. I would not trade my V1 for anything else on the market right now.

I prefer to just use the included mount myself. I have one in each vehicle and they work great. The only reason I would get a blendmount is if I lived in a place like CA where having anything stuck to your windshield is illegal. I've had my V1 for about 10 years now... don't think mine has Bluetooth capabilities...

Go to the Valentine website and punch in your serial number and they will tell you what upgrades would cost so you could have bluetooth etc.

These new cars these days run a lot of radar and the new V1 will block a lot of that noise along with traffic sign radar etc...

But if I do that I will have to buy another one as a backup while it is in for service :driving:

They basically send you out a brand new one at a reduced price.

I use the blendmount and have mine hard wired into the powered rear view mirror. I can take it down/store it when parked in under 3 seconds.

I'm running custom sweeps for Ka band and I love it. In the city around shopping centers I do get the K/X band false alerts, but on the highway the Valentine One destroys the competition. Plus only firmware upgrades, won't need a new radar every year.

I recently drove from Austin to New Orleans and from Austin to Corpus Christi and back. Cruised 90 mph the whole way there thanks to my V1. Saw a trooper pull over someone keeping up with me....I slowed down bc my alert came on...sucks to suck!

If you have Android you can even use the free gps-app w/ V1 connection. iPhone has a $10 fee.

10/10 for blendmount, hard wire, and V1 with Bluetooth connection.

When you took power from the rear mirror did you use the mirror tap?

Red tap is in the top connection, second from the left. Black tap is in top connection, furthest to the right.

I just looked into this and the reduced price is $290. I think for that much I would just buy a new one and use one as a backup... not much of a discount IMO.

You can probably sell your old one on eBay and get more for it etc...

For some reason they tend to sell well on eBay.
