I currently looking at getting aftermarket wheels for my 15 Silverado. I use my truck and spend about 20 nights a year in hotels. Any tips on keeping them from getting stolen or is this a non issue?

After installing hundreds of security systems In Vehicles there's always one thing that any smart person will tell you. You can spend thousands on security, but if a thief wants your stuff they're going to get your stuff. You could get the wheel bolt locks, but once again you can still buy those online. I travel a lot for my job too. Best thing is to just stay in good areas. Even if it means staying an hour away from a place.

So true. I just curb the crap out of mine. Nobody wants scrubbed wheel.

And check your non-collision/comprehensive deductible. I unknowingly had mine set the same as my collision deductible (1k) until all four of my tires got slashed on my old truck. Wasn't even worth claiming anything.

I called State Farm and I think I lowered it to around $50 for less than $50-100/year.

Some will say that's not worth it and I should self-insure, but I had no idea who did it and if they would do it again the next week/month/year.

Got it. Buy 5 separate wheel locks. It will be 5 times harder or take the thief 5 times longer to get em off there.

If you take your wheels off each night and take them into your hotel with you, that should help [emoji39]

I just use the spline lugs, the keys are common so if "pros" are out to get your wheels they will have them quick but it keeps the kids away.

I'd rather have them take my wheels then kick the bedside in or something out of spite.
