Thanks formulabruce. I finally successfully installed the brake light switch. :) I had the switch on backwards. :loser: After properly installing..... the retaining clip locked on easily, my shifter started working normal and my cruise is working again. Cruise was the main reason for changing this switch.

 

This one switch does so much, brake lights, cruise control and controls the shifter....maybe more. Thanks again for responding.
