2015 GMC Sierra Brake Problems , Drivers Seat problems, Tire Problems

I switched to GMC after 35 years of other brand trucks I need help getting the dealer to solve what i consider major problems. The truck is a 2015, 5.3, 2wd... daily driver.. crew cab ...no towing. 22 inch wheels it has 33,000 miles

The truck uses a quart of oil every 300 to 400 miles.

Drivers seat clicks and slides when turning corners or when you go over bumps.

OEM good years where bald at 17,000 miles replace with 1200.00 worth of michelin defender tires the rear tires where down to 4/32 after 14,000 miles the front tires where at 8/32 ..

All the brakes have been replaced and rotors resurfaced and they only lasted 13,000 miles now the brakes grind and squeal .

During normal driving the truck lags. micro bogs, micro stumbles. I guess related to AFM issue...

After driving a 2017 loaner truck, the drivers seat was perfect ,the brakes worked great, and there was no AFM stumble. it was a great truck with 8500 miles granted it was just a basic model however it did seem they had engineered out the problems.

Has anyone one had any luck fixing these issues I listed . Long term on a 2015 or may be 2014 as these trucks seem similar.

Seat is an easy fix at the dealer. You're still under the 36k so take it in and have that fixed. Oil consumption would have me a bit worried. Tire wear is unusual. I'd say you either tow a lot, or like to spin the rear tires. Those are like 80k tires. My defenders were under $800 for a 275/55/20. $1200 seems like msrp pricing.

I have a 2015 Sierra with 22,000 on mine with none of those problems. So it's not just 2015. Make dealer fix it until you are satisfied with it.

I also have a 2015 with none of the issues mentioned. I did switch to Defenders after 19K (kms) with little wear on the oem Bridgestones. I simply prefer Michelins and these Defenders aren't disappointing. I have also driven problem free with AFM for 8 years. Do not accept the problems you are experiencing and get them fixed while you are still under warranty. Thirty five years ago you may have needed to top up oil between oil changes but should not be necessary in a properly operating 2015!

Very sad first post.

I have a 2015 Sierra with the 5.3 that is 2wd and I don't have near the issues you have.

21k on the clock and the factory tires still have plenty of life as well as the brakes.

Only real issue, if you want to call it that, is the transmission takes a minute to figure itself out when cold.

I didn't notice this was your first post! Welcome to this forum! You will find a lot of support on this site! Can you give us some more information on what your GM dealer has told you regarding these concerns? What has your tire dealer told you?

Worn tires and worn brakes are not GM's fault, its the driver who has control over that.
