Big brake kit with 17" wheels?

Anyone know of a big brake kit that will fit with 17" wheels? Im running 35" toyos and feel i need more stopping power. Or anyone know of a good set of pads and rotors??

I'm grabbing the r1 concepts kit. Slotted rotors. But you also have a bro runner. I'm just a little lowered guy

The Wilwood 14.25" kit with 6 piston calipers, fits my 18" wheels. Looking at them, it appears there's a 1/2" or so clearance. A 17" may fit, but only actual test fit will tell.

Here's the Wilwood drawing for the 14.25" front brake kit. Looks like about 16 1/2"inside diameter of the wheel is necessary.

Been looking at rims/big brakes and trying to plan it all out. My issue is the need to run winter tires/rims and if I can fit Wilwoods with the Chevy 18's, that'll make my life much easier!

thats a really nice setup, it seems like they would barely fit, wonder if theres enough material to sand off incase it needs a hair more of room for 17" wheels

There's going to appear to be material to remove. But if it were up to me, I'd not remove metal from the brake calipers.

 

If the 17" wheels won't fit the brakes, just put some aggressive aftermarket pads on the stock brakes for now. It'll make a good improvement. Consider getting larger wheels later.

The Hawk HP Plus looks like a good choice. But I couldn't find pads for our trucks. The EBC Yellow Stuff looks like a similar performance pad. I had these on my 08. They were dirty and wore fast, but they stopped well.

 

Also, replace your stock flex lines with braided stainless lines. Stock lines can expand under hard pedal forces.

I,would not grind a caliper. But we have a 2016 on 35s that we towed a 9klb trailer with. And it was fine.
