Tie down anchor holes plugs in bed, wasp nests

2015 2500hd. When I got the truck, I got a spray in bed liner installed. In the top part of the bed, there are oval shaped holes with plastic plug, 9 of em.

Now with the spray in bed liner, those plastic plugs just don't stay put. I don't feel like spending $200 for a set of 9 tie down anchors. I'm reluctant to trim away any of the spray in bed liner. Any suggestions?

Also, I now have wasps flying in those holes building a nest presumably. Okay to spray in there?

Thanks

For $100 I bought these retractable tie-downs on Amazon instead of the over priced GM pieces. It should be fine to spray in there for wasps but I'm not sure what the spray might do to the paint.

Those retractable tie downs look great. I'll try to find those. I don't see how spraying down the hole could get to the exterior paint unless I'm sloppy. More concerned about hitting invisible wiring or rubber hydrolic lines.

I like those tie-downs also. Are these from Bull Ring what you got? They look right and say they fit.

As for spraying in those holes, I can't think of anything it would damage. You could always rinse it out after all the wasps are dead too.

They are the Bull Ring tie-downs.

Nice! Thanks for the up close picture too. They look nice and seem to be pretty well liked online too. I think I'll be ending up with these in my truck soon.

So, I got up early and sprayed wasp spray into the holes. So far so good. I went to the bed liner shop (camp ways) and looked at the bull rings. In hand, they look great. They only sell them in pairs for $30 per pair. That would be $150 for 10 and I'd have an extra. $109 on amazon for a set of 9. But, I don't really need them. I just want the holes plugged. I may end up just gluing those plastic plugs in as they suggested. I've got the bug for a folding tonneau cover anyway.

Good to know about the wd 40. I'll hose out the wasp spray and reapply with wd40.

Regarding the anchor hole plugs. I looked on gm parts direct and they sell special plugs for use with a spray in bed liner. <$30 for a set of 9. I just ordered those and will save my pennies for a folding tonneau cover.

Thanks for the good info.
