siriusxm is more than just radio.. we use the marine services (weather, fish reports) on the boat.

You have to have SiriusXM packaged with weather/premium features in order for the weather app on the truck to work. Sort of cool... shows rain/clouds on the nav screen.

I have a '17, no SiriusXM subscription/package and my weather app works with just internet connection, to my phone hotspot. I don't have onboard Nav, since I use AA instead.

 

This might be the case for 14-15(16) year models?

Hey, I have a 2015 Silverado and try to connect to my cell hotspot, but in wifi connections only appear

the info to connect the truck network no other options. Any ideas?

Maybe yours just doesn't have that option?
