I can press a button on my steering wheel and talk to the system to play music or reply to texts... This seems useless to me. Now on an older vehicle that doesn't have these features, it would be more useful maybe. Just my two cents...

Yup.. not needed with the newer GM infotainment system. With Apple CarPlay and proper Siri setting on your iphone, just say "Hey Siri" anytime while in the vehicle and Siri automatically opens and responds to commands like play music, open nav, etc... You don't even need to push a button.

Yup, 'ok Google' or 'hey Moto' works just fine..

Agree.! I updated my 15 with apple CarPlay from the MVI guys.. and I also just say "hey Siri" and it works just beautifully.!

I put an extra Echo Dot in my truck to try this out last week. I am with you all, I haven't found anything that it does that my "hey Siri" won't do. It was fun for about 2 days, and then I unplugged it.
