2017 Sierra 1500 accessory power outlet (12V) Covers Breaking

Hi.

I am new to the forum and have a minor but annoying problem that I hope someone can help me with. It is those cheap covers on the 12V accessory power outlets (aka cig lighter holes). I have 2 in the front console and 1 in the rear. Less than 5000 mi on the truck and I have now broken all three! The cover has a small metal pin that attaches to a very poor set of plastic clips which break if you breath on them. See pics.

 

Does anyone know a good replacement for these?

First new truck I've seen with them broken and I work on them daily. The older body style were bad for this, but seriously I haven't seen anyone come in with them broken. Don't know of any work around da, you'll just have to buy more of them.

Why not just buy new OEM covers? Not like you have a choice.

Rock Auto may even have replacements, they do for my 2012...

I would buy new ones but they have changed from the 2016 model year onwards and I cannot find 2017 oem replacements online.

2017-2018 part number just for the cover is 84090238, which superseded 13580623.

 

 

22936013 is for the entire assembly.

Does anyone have a video on how to get the socket out? I am trying to replace the cover on the outlet at the rear of the console of my 2016 Sierra.
