Couple karabiners and some 1 inch tubular you can make a nice rifle rack. Go inside for a coffee, flip up the rear seat, hidden from view.

There are 3 of these behind the rear seat. left/center/right

Ive found NOTHING in the owners manual referring to them. Any clue?

You don't need those things old man!!

Yeah.... Because GM has installed death traps for kids. This is absolutely irrational.

I don't think I have these in my 2012.

Simple design that gets the job done IMO.

Of course that's also what the owwers manual says:  (it has lots of pics/diagrams as well)

When installing a child restraint with
a top tether, you must also use
either the lower anchors or the
safety belts
to properly secure the
child restraint. A child restraint must
never be attached using only the top
tether.

Lower ones are metal rings.

Used them in my 2012, worked just fine...if you put weight on the seat when cinching it down, it won't even wiggle.

I just received a small manual from GM that says they forgot to add this info to the manual. A small 12 page one came in the mail the other day.
