HELP!!! I'm currently driving a 02 silverado single cab 2wd swb. And I put a 4.5 lift kit on it and my slip yolk on my drive shaft is sticking out, and is at an angle I know I'm suppose to "stretch" or "lengthing it" but is their a way to fix it or temporarily push the slip yolk back in until I can make my shaft longer. I thought about taking the lift blocks out and adding drop blocks but I'm not sure. Any input or information would be greatly appreciated thanks

Not sure why you would put a 4.5" lift kit on a 2WD, but there is not a band-aid for the drive shaft now being too short. You will need to get the drive shaft lengthened.

No temp fix. Get drive shaft lengthened.

Poor planning on your part. Would have thought you'd realize shaft length would change drastically with your lift. 4.5 on 2wd????

There's an easy solution...Just remove the u-joint and you'll be able to slide the slip yoke back in where it is supposed to be

I mean hey why not? It's a truck gonna use it to work play etc. and I'm sure I'm not the only one with a lifted 2wd. And yeah I'd figured their wasn't after countless internet research thanks! And yeah I knew it would I was just trying to find a shop that's close to me to do it for me and thanks for the input guys

I don't have a solution to your problem other than the longer shaft but out of curiosity what brand lift did you use? was thinking of raising my 2010 2wd a little bit. it already has a leveling kit sitting on 33s so its tall already for a 2wd

Ita a rough country lift. And yeah I've called a couple shops, and they lead me to Thai shop an hour away from me to get one built for my truck
