Pex catch can hose

What problems would I run into using pex tubing for the catch can hoses? The hoses that came with my elite can seam to be leaking.

I have 10ft of pex laying around, and I've had my can for about 2years I doubt they would send me some more hose for free

Yah PEX would really struggle with the heat and flexibility needs. Just grab some vacuum rated fuel hose.

I used a high pressure fuel hose when I installed my Elite catch can. It was the only hose that would not hiss or collapse due to the vacuum in the system.

Has this always been a problem with Elite?  If they cant sell good hoses with their system makes you wonder about the guts of the can.

It does make you wonder..However, I have been very pleased with the can itself. They do need to step up with the quality of the supplied hoses.

Does it have a filter on the inside? I hate the cans that just come with 2 hoses and a drain. Kinda pointless. Really needs a filter.

Pex hose maximum heat is 180 degrees. I would say no unless you want a hot mess.

Some HPS would work and it comes in alot of different colors.

Correct. You are not running pressurized fuel or oil through the system for a catch can.
