Shuffles forward and backward media function sd card

Wondering if anyone can help with this issue. 2014 Silverado. When using the "media" function to play music on my SD card installed in the SD slot in console...and when in shuffle mode, the songs shuffle when I hit the forward button. That is as it should be. However, when I hit the reverse button, it shuffles as well. This is not as I want it to be. I want it to play the previous track(s) (as all my other devices do when playing music). Any advice on how to change this?
