Wheel Liners

Hey,  Can the plastic wheel liners be inserted in the newer 2014-2018  Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks or is that not possible as it seems like there are already liners in these trucks from the factory?

You’d have to remove the carpet ones

These have the carpeted liners, mainly to keep noise down. I had the plastic liners on my previous generation truck and loved them. Very easy to blast out and clean. These liners hold alot more crap. But if someone does make them I would think you will increase your interior noise if replacing them. It was one of the things they did to reduce interior noise, along with triple door seals. Maybe work trucks have just plastic?

I know the plastic insert type are available from the GM site. I wasn't sure if they would go over the carpeted ones that are in there from factory. Kind of a silly question I guess but I was wondering this as they are offered to fit the new trucks.  Maybe some of the work type models with that type of trim don't have any at all from factory.

Does anyone have a link or part number to a set of plastic liners for the front, for a 2017 Silverado.

I can only seem to find the plastic ones for the rear only.

Thanks

GM doesn't make a solid plastic liner for the K2 trucks at all.  The "carpeted" ones actually rinse out quite well in the winter.

Yupp.

40+ of years of driving in the  Rust belt between Lakes Erie/Huron/St.clair/Ontario.

Don't get much more freeze/thaw/salt/slop than here.

I thought the fibre ones would be a disaster, but have been pleasantly surprised how easy they clean.  I did add the  plastic ones to the 11, so have several winters cleaning them as well..

I found these, but I'm not sure if this is actually what we're talking about.

Are these actually full coverage plastic wheel well liners?

Anyone know, or have any info on these?

GM part numbers

22757273, 22757274

That generation they were using plastic ones for rears as well, if ordered/added -- had them on my '11.

As above, I was as skeptical as the other posters when I first saw the firbre/carpet/whatever ones but have been pleasantly surprised how easy they clean.

I think weathertech offers wheel liners, if you’re really wanting the plastic ones.
