What’s the difference?

Hello everyone I’m thinking of trading my 2014 Silverado crew cab Into the dealership for a 2018 model can anyone tell me what the difference is between the Tx edition and the Chevy Silverado Custom

The custom has color matched front end , and is a double cab. The interior is stripped down to the ls trim I believe. No steering wheel controls for the radio, small radio screen, tan interior, manual seats. Texas edition is an Lt level trim.

I have an SLT that came with the “Texas Edition”trim piece on the front doors.  Last week, I had a body shop replace both with the “ Sierra” badge.

 

it was a trim option that had three things that were otherwise available - something like the sliding rear glass and running boards.   Whatever.  I’m not from Texas.

Go to Chevy.com

 

Then go to Silverado page

 

Then compare the two

Custom is a level of truck (like W/T, LTZ, etc. it’s between the LS and LT)

Texas edition is a “package” (like Z71, NHT, convenience, etc.)

 

This way you can make an informed decision and find what your looking for instead of intruenet guesstimates and salesdudes without clues...

 

What will really blow your mind is you can get a Custom with the TexASS package (it’s a $950 upcharge on a Custom btw)

I often wonder why TexASS and Alaska are sooo special? Come on GM how about a Iowegian edition badged either IH red with white lettering or JD green with yellow lettering.  I mean even Furd had the MVP edition in KC Royals blue and they did it because a customer suggested it!

Well, the influx of Texans into Colorado I could say the same thing, go back.

 

The one ting I will give ya, Texas executes criminals regularly.

And Colorado gives them a law, a tax stamp and sends them to work in a smoke shop.

My old man came to Texas from NJ in 1978 to bring Appaloosa horses to the Houston livestock rodeo. One year later he move his business and family here. I guess we’re damn Yankees. I not going back. I had a few Texas Edition trucks, their equipment can very and usually great deals.
