2018 SLT & Denali cluster

Hey Guys ! I just bought a 2018 Sierra 1500 SLT Black on Black premium plus package 6.2L V8 4wd tonight . It's my first time owning a truck. I've always own 2 seaters sport cars and thought it was time to own something more practical for raising a family. I've read that the Denali has a digital cluster and was reading up on doing a swap. Is it me or the 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali Cluster look very similar to a 2018 Sierra SLT cluster ?? Is it even worth doing a swap if the two clusters look this similar ? Does anyone have the part number for a 2018 Sierra 1500 Denali cluster ?

Congrats on new truck. Denali cluster is different and cool as chit. YES YOU NEED TO DO THIS IMMEDIATELY (NOT LOL) the standard clusters in the SLT's are awesome. No way that I would rip my new truck's dash apart for this.

Dang that is pretty nice. I just couldn't justify paying the extra $10K for the Denali when the SLT premium plus package has pretty much what the Denali has .. The whole process of swapping cluster doesn't look too invasive and damaging to the dash ? I think I need cluster part number 84385167 to do the denali swap... Im not sure

Check out this thread.  It has all the info you need.  Just make sure you contact White Automotive and Media to check fitment of cluster before you order.  You need to have the cluster programmed for your truck. Best of luck.  Here's the thread.

Congrats! You’ve got identical truck to mine, you’ll love it! Just remember, you’ll need to get new wheels with different offset ( mine is +18 20X9 Fuel Wheels) as soon as you decide to do a leveling kit cause our upper control arms are stamped now and cause your new leveling to rub hard on upper control arms. I did a billet aluminum 2 1/4” front and added 1” rear.

I'm pretty much going to leave everything stock as is. I dont know anything about trucks and I'm not into modding...not yet. I left the import and tuning world behind to buy an "adult vehicle" that I won't tinker with. This is a learning process all over again.

One of the dealership near me had a new 2018 1500 slt with lift kit, fender flare, rims ect for $45K. MSRP was $72k !! I came close to picking that one up but had to remind myself that the wife and future kids will have a hard time getting in and out .

Better off you didn’t cause dealerships tend to have cheapest lifts with crappy rides, better you get your own done with half the cost.

Excellent, enjoy! Remember to give your truck it’s first free one at 2K and second/last one at 5K the latest cause with all new performance engines their break in will have metal shaving specs in that beautiful engine. And always use full synthetic 0W20 w/ Mobile One oil filters when you’re done with dealerships free changes. Don’t rump on it before 3K miles.

Why? It's super easy and doesnt cost that much.   I'm doing it in my silverado in the next few weeks

Just curious for those who have done it on GMC and Chevy's will the "Splash" page still show Denali Intellilink on SLT and Chevy vehicles?

The Radio screen stays the same. My Denali cluster shows the same "splash" screen as the radio screen does showing "GMC Intellilink"

If its flashed it will show Chevy from what Phil was saying. He did it in his silverado.

I’d like to know what the new part costs and when you say it was easy to install, approx time too?
