trailering Adding trailer brake controller 2014 Sierra SLT

Hello,

 

Quick question that I couldn't find an answer for while searching...   I am trying to add a Trailer Brake Controller to my 2014 Sierra SLT and when I popped the electrical box cover off I was surprised to find something already plugged in to the location for the controller.  I do not have the integrated controller panel on the dash....   any clues to what this would be?

Each truck that didn’t come with an oem brake controller comes with a wire loom to attach your own brake controller. My cable is sitting in my center console and has been since new.

 

Yours is already plugged in.

 

Somebody probably had an aftermarket one at some point.
