Opinion; flares or no?

What about the OEM flares. I was debating on them for my 2017 and went outside today to find gum on the side of my truck where the OEM flares would have been. Picking a set up tomorrow for the simple fact it would stop most of the small bull shit from getting throw up the side of the truck.

This is my exact dilemma after having my 2017 1500 Silverado, with a 6" lift added last week. My tires stick out about 1.5 inches, I do not want to throw crap all over my paint. I don't want a huge flare, just something enough to do the job, I don't want to drill into the side of my truck either. What have you bought for your truck that may fit my needs?

I did see the Rough Country set, they look like what I think I want, just no real world feedback.

With my 6” lift from RC, +18 offset wheels, and 2 inch spacers on rear; my wheels stick out 2 inches from the fender.

The RC bolt on look fenders are clip on and use some existing factory screws. They provide 1.75” if coverage. It’s hard to see in my photos but my wheels stick out about .25” past flairs.

If you got them your wheels would be slightly in from edge of flares.

I just ordered the RC smooth version, should be here in a couple weeks after they get done painting them to match.

Cool can't wait to see them. I'm trying to get to install the GM ones but it's been raining in FL ever damn day, plus I need to cut and buff the areas before I install them.

Like others here, I'm on the fence with them also. They look good if the tires stick out and sit either flush or just a bit past the flares but if the tires are already flush and you add the flares, I think it looks funny. Kind of like if your truck skipped leg day at the gym, LOL.
