Has anyone reset their TPMS system? I have another set of take off wheels on the way for winter tires and would like to know which reset tool to purchase. Will the tools that work on the previous model GM systems work on our 2019 trucks?

Thanks.

I had Discount Tire attempt to do mine since I have aftermarket wheels and different OEM TPMS sensors but they were unable to since there tool did not include the 2019 Silverado and didn't work when set to 17 or 18 model year either.  I figured I'd wait a few months and try again.  Yo be honest, after a few days, I barely even notice the TPMS light now other than the pop up message that comes up when you start the car

Winter tires arrived (Michelin Ice-X) mounted them on a set of Chevy 2019 Silverado 18 inch wheels with oem TPMS sensors...after about 5 miles, TPMS  warning came up on dash in tach.

I will order one of these and report back.

Here is the same one on Amazon.  Just ordered it today.  Will let you know if it works.

There are a bunch on Amazon, I went with this one just because it was cheaper:

That is the one I use, purchased it off ebay 7 years ago and still going strong.

They run about $7 on ebay.

It does work with 2019  TPMS (315 & 433MHz) as  I swapped mine over to my new wheels today.

My TPMS sensors were GM part# 13522955   433MHz

FYI  - Look at your options code list:

XL7 indicates 315 MHz TPMS sensors

XL8 indicates 433 MHz TPMS sensors          **** If you do not have either of these codes it is 433MHz.

Good news! Ordered this TPMS reset tool as per the suggestion above and it does work on our 2019 trucks!

http://www.tpmstoolshop.com/wholesale/el-50448-auto-tire-pressure-monitor-sensor.html

Was $11.27 delivered. I got the Blue one. Arrived in 3 days.

Used the procedure in the manual for TPMS reset and was done in less than 2 minutes.

Thanks for the help. :)

Will my 2009 Silverado relearn the tpms sensors from a new take off wheels and tires from a 2019 or 2020 Silverado?

The TPMS's will have to be relearned by the vehicle.  The tool is like $10 on Amazon and works great.

Search TPMS Reset tool EL-50448. They're available via Amazon, Ebay, etc. and are inexpensive. I have one and it works with my older GM vehicles (2013, 2017) and my 2019 Silverado.

Is a tool necessary?  Several years ago my tires got rotated, but the shop failed to fix it in the computer.  I read the owner's manual and it said to inflate go through a procedure in the dash first, the adjust the air pressure in the tires on a specific order.  It worked.  Iirc, I let some air out until the horn honked.  After the procedure was done I roller my tires to the correct psi.  I didn't have a tpms test, and assumed they were expensive.  I did have a 25 gallon air compressor and put that to good use.
