JP POWER DEPENDABILITY STUDY

Another reason why I don't care about how much nicer the Ram interior is. I have had great experiences with Toyota and GM and this report just reinforces it.

Nah man, for a start, is there any meaningful difference b/n 161 (GMC) vs 171 (Ram)? And why is Chevrolet so much less (better) than GMC? Since Chevy trucks and GMC trucks are very similar, chances are that Chevy trucks are not the reason why Chevrolet as a whole is so much better.

Finally, what is a "problem"? There is no significance attached to that. It might be a broken light bulb, or an issue with the infotainment system (outdated maps or phone not syncing), or it might be your transmission disintegrating.

In short, do not put any weight whatsoever on charts like that. It's bad statistics.

I would bet that GMC tends to sell more high-end vehicles with gizmos that break.  Chevy probably sells a lot of LT and WT models.

Didya ever notice how JD Power's rankings tend to favor the companies that sponsor them or say JD Power in their advertising?  Just sayin.

What model years does this cover? There is no way they could have any meaningful reliability data on 2019 models.

2016 year model
They obviously never looked at my 2016, or those problem numbers would be a lot higher. Think I am up to 37 trips to the service department in 2.5 years. Not that I am counting.
