Finally got a gauge on it. Running at 30 PSI at idle.

There is your problem. Which means when you're driving it is probably going down further.

Replace the filter for sure, but if you're not buying a GM pump get this one https://amzn.to/2GUvUuV

I would never buy any other aftermarket pump.

Let us know when it is fixed please!

I put in a new fuel filter and that didn't do it. Put in the new pump. I got the Delphi one. Got it back in and it was still missing. I was a bit low on fuel and decided to put some gas in and it smoothed out. It was above a quarter according to the gauge when I took the pump out and put it back in and it showed near empty. Not a lot in the tank. I'm hoping my issue wasn't just low gas. Maybe the new fuel pump just needed to be primed? I had already returned the fuel pressure gauge so I haven't checked pressure yet again.

So far it has been running beautifully. It also appears the intake gasket I replaced took care of the unrelated whistling noise I was getting. Truck is so quiet you can't hear it running. I'll have to do something about that.
