Gear shifter on the column

Question guys...

 

The gear shifter in the truck seems to have a little free play (up/down) while in the drive position. Going down the road it vibrates up and down.  Just wondering if anyone else has that happening or if I should bring it up to the dealer when I get the 1st oil change?

It has been forever since I have had a vehicle with a column shifter and do not recall if they do that.

Mine is tight and I have 12k miles already.  No free play at all

Mine is real tight as well. Takes some effort to move it, I am only at 1300 miles though.

Mine shakes while driving too, i guess i thought it was normal. Maybe ill have to go drive another one to tell.

Mine definitely has some slop in it too. I also assumed it was normal because my 2016 felt similar.

Mine is super tight too.  Definitely catches me off guard switching gears compared to the force needed vs. my '16.  A lot stiffer, if you will.

3500 miles on mine and it is tight.  No shake or movement

I’ve got some play to mine, but I just figured it’s the nature of the beast.

Mine is way tight especially when comparing it to my 2017 Silverado. No slop whatsoever.

any fix here other than replacing the steering column?
