What exhaust and is it straight exhaust or headers too?

AFE y-pipe stock manifolds and Gibson dual sport with their MWA muffler

You know all these exhaust sound different in person? Remember your requirements of not waking the kid up at start up and also being able to go hunting.

IME, anything other than a Borla touring muffler would wake kids up and also not be conducive for hunting unless you are trying to flush all the game out of the woods into an awaiting ambush.

I'm running a muffler delete and range AFM to stop the kickdown to v4 and the horrible drone/helicopter sound. Very happy with the sound, quite quiet when you want to cruise, smash on it, you really hear it, not over bearing or wake up the whole neighborhood loud either.  I'll try and post a quick video later.

What's your budget?

I picked up a Borla S Type catback system for $900 off eBay. Not too loud but not as quiet as the touring setups. Sounds perfect to me and looks good too.

Add a Range AFM disabler to eliminate any drone whatsoever for $189 and your good to go

Thanks everyone. I'm looking at the Borla, Flowmaster and Corsa. Now deleteing the V4. Is that expensive or hard? And does it mess with the truck at all? I had an 06 before this so this whole V8 to V4 is new to me. I'd love to get rid of it

To disable AFM just shift into manual mode and select gear 5 if you have the 6 speed.  Like magic, no more V4, and it won't cost you a dime!

Works great. Borla is top quality.

Yes it does cost . Because you are running at higher rpm's especially on the interstate. Sucking more gas than you need to.

Price of gas has gone up about 75 cents a gallon since the beginning of the year in my area. $2.70 a gallon now.

Shift into Drive for interstate travel. My truck rarely sees V4 mode at 70mph - 75mph. Not using any more gas than you just by shifting into drive.

Mine would run in V4 more than yours then. Probably 30% of the time it would be in V4 . Sometimes for miles at a time on a flat stretch.

Do you still have stock exhaust?

I do. Would like to change it for something a bit more aggressive but not so loud you can't listen to music or have a conversation.

Looking at the Flowmaster American Thunder series with duals straight out the back.

What about you?
