Looking to instal a 2.5 level on my 2016 Sierrra All Terrain Dbl cab. Wanted to see before and after pics of different brands installed before finalizing my decision. Please post pics, brand, ride experience changes. Also, any insight as to rancho shock compatibility is also welcomed. Thanks!

Pic is current.

Run as fast as you can from Rancho....

Ok, so I’ll give a little background: I had the Bilstein 5100s with a Zone 2" level for 3 years. I recently changed out to an Eibach Pro Truck Lift 2.5" which was too stiff for my taste, so I ended up buying a Halo Lifts Boss Coilovers and run it at 3’’ with a Zone 1.5 body lift. The ride is exceptionally better.

Why not look thru the leveling  kit thread in this section.

This is my truck with stock ride height in top photo and fox 2.0 coilovers in lower photo. Still running factory tire size 275/55/20

Nice. I like how that sits. Gives me a pretty good idea of what mine would look like. Thanks for posting!

dcarl,

Thanks for input. Rancho’s were stock and I won’t be upgrading for a while. I have read of many who have installed the bilstein 5100’s, in fact many recommend them it seems. I’m hoping to keep the ride quality as unchanged as possible.

I did Bilstein 5100 on the top setting (1.8") and then added a 0.25" spacer under the shocks for another 1/2" and a total of about 2.25" level.  Ride is slightly firmer from the Bilstein, but much more controlled.  Not uncomfortable in any way.  I felt no difference going from just the Bilstein level to later adding the spacer underneath.

I’m still contemplating between 2 and 2.5 motofab.  Do any of you who went 2[sh] wish you had gone higher?

I agree...  This is definitely in my truck's future.

I went with the 2.5 motofab. Love how it turned out but now, after an alignment, I notice movement in the steering wheel and what feels like a consistent bump in the wheel. I like’n it to the feel of the new Iphone X when quickly scanning. Iphone X folks will know what I’m talking about. Anyone have any thoughts?

Before and after Motofab 2.5” front/1” rear block and went from 275/55/20 tires to 275/60. Looks pretty level in the pic, but I actually have around 0.5”-0.75” rake. Exactly what I was looking for..

Love the truck with the plates out of the bar but you should take your air dam off

    • Are you going to take long trips in it?  If so, try out the seats in the various trims. For me the lower trim level seats were not comfortable.
    • I have a 2016 that I bought new and still own. I'm around 129,000 miles now. The biggest problem was a transmission failure about 2 years ago around 95000 miles. No warning, just failed while driving down a back road. A reman GM transmission installed and it's been fine ever since. A few other minor problems along the way. I am in no hurry to replace it. It's been paid off long ago and do plan on driving this as long as I can.   I will admit I am leery about all the additional electronics in the newer models and feel that it is just more potential problems. I think there's actually more than I would have wanted in this 2016 but so far so good. I think even if something major like lifter failure happened, it would still be cheaper to at worst, drop a new engine in than buy a new vehicle.
    • I’ve own several successful businesses. I’ve bought homes and lived in different states. I’d witness several generations buy homes and survive in different economic circumstances. You get awful sippy when people have different experiences than you do. You live a life. I’ve lived a life. It seems our experience has been different. You can point out generalized statistics. Some people learn how to thrive when the odds are against them. Living in different states does make a difference in a persons quality of life and economic outcomes and opportunities. That’s a fact Jack. It’s my truth, my life. Hard work and long hours the right environment made my families life easier. And yes moving to a different state increased the odds of that happening. Stats are generalized. People who thrive don’t make excuses. They beat the odds. Others get mad and point to those statistics. I guess that’s you. My post pointed out how you helped people beat the odds. Somehow your panties got in a wad. Go figure.
    • Good question, I don't remember for sure but I believe it was the HD. I will check and get back to you.
