I did not want subtle but I did want clean and classy so I went with black letters for my white LTZ. I think it makes it really stand out but it’s not too in your face.

I actually like the flat black letters on the gloss black! I think I will do the same myself.

Is everyone just buying lettering from random ebay sellers or is there one better than others?

I was going with flat black on my black RST, but I think I’m going to try the gloss black /red outlined letters and see how that goes.

I did carbon fiber black on my white RST, the carbon look is subtle but I like it.....they were only like $15 so easy and cheap to change or take off.....I like it and don't see too many with letters on tailgate where I live

Domed black with red outline BD Trims (CHEVROLET) and these Ebay Cheapy (Silverado LT) which are not the same size as stock.

I removed the Silverado badges on the front fenders. The fenders are soft aluminum and you really need to be careful.
