Saw a report that locally we have had about half our normal snowfall and twice our normal rain. This March has been cooler than normal, but Jan and Feb were warmer than average. Windy it is always here but this is exceptional. High for today is supposed to be 31 F the wind also 31 and gusty to 40. Nice read a book day :)

Rained here yesterday, then freezing rain, then snow, then stupid windy all night and all day here. County roads are just ice sheets in many spots as the temps went from 44 degrees down to 8 degrees with a windchill of 10-15 below zero.

It was sunny all day though......

So yesterday it was snowing and below freezing. Today, mid-fifties and....

Wife and I have never seen such a beautiful rainbow. A double. Full primary and we could see both ends touch the earth. Most bands I've ever seen.  Most vibrant. A miracle!

Gen 9:12-16 And God added: “This is the sign of the covenant that I am making between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all future generations. I put my rainbow in the cloud, and it will serve as a sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring a cloud over the earth, then the rainbow will certainly appear in the cloud. And I will certainly remember my covenant that I made between me and you and every living creature of every kind; and never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the rainbow will occur in the cloud, and I will certainly see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of every kind on the earth.”

10 degrees yesterday morning with a high of 18.

4 degrees this morning with a forecast high of 33.

Forecast for the week 30-40 lows, 10-20.

Maybe spring has arrived.

Got it pretty good here, rained on and off most of the day and then it all turned to snow with 30-40mph winds. Whiteout conditions overnight.

In total we got around 9-10in of heavy wet snow plus whatever rain before that.

They also just published the new snowfall totals for the MSP airport which is the location they keep track of the overall record snowfall for the Twin Cities.

These records go back to 1884 and we are now at the 3rd snowiest winter on record with 89.7in. Other surrounding cities have seen much more than that too, just depends on where you are.
