They also just published the new snowfall totals for the MSP airport which is the location they keep track of the overall record snowfall for the Twin Cities.

These records go back to 1884 and we are now at the 3rd snowiest winter on record with 89.7in. Other surrounding cities have seen much more than that too, just depends on where you are.

The more we warm your mosquitos and people will be glad to have the water and so will the Mississippi river!

WIND, WIND AND MORE WIND.

The fire danger is the worst since moving here. VERY DRY.

Our property and most near u are 99%  mitigated. The grass fire would not get us but one never knows when its a fireball and heat is super high.  In the back of our 15,000 acre area they have never been cut ( virgin forest) and missed the 2018 Spring fire so they are gonna burn baby burn if it gets there.

We are in the forest and its loaded with fuel. We have 100 year old trees.

Yikes the Spring fire destroyed this beautiful area. Why I could afford to live here.

12 degrees 3inches. The wind has died down.

Had a fire started by an idiot who dumped fireplace ashes on his property. Not close to us.

Same thing happened here, people who live up our street burnt there house down about 12 years ago, well the idiot dumped fireplaces ashes outside by his deck and in the middle of the night it relite and caught his deck on fire followed by burning the house down. Anyway its 87 degrees here and the AC in the house has been running for the past 3 days.

Went from 80's to near 90 this past week to 30 degrees and many inches of snow today.

Yep, 41-degree swing here as well. Not as much snow. Dusting. Yesterday it looked like angles having a pillow fight. Huge fluff melting on the impact.

Ever see it rain so hard in a wind so high is atomized it and you can't see 2 feet ahead in the middle of the day? We got that today for about a half an hour. Everyone to the basement! A water blizzard. Scary and cool at the same time.

I 55 Illinois dust storm pile up accident: 6 killed, more than 30 injured in crash downstate, police say - ABC7 Chicago

Day I changed oil in Dizzy the wind started blowing 20 to 45 mph, gusting higher and hasn't let up yet. Taking 20% more fuel and more oil to do the same tasks. Low 28's" mercury lows lately. House just whistles. Put the dog on a tether to keep him from blowing away. :crackup:Can't keep him from peeing into the wind though.

We got some moisture.YEA! Hail and rain yesterday afternoon, hail pea size to blueberry. Rain during the night and sometime after 2 am snow. 2 am was my pee run. We got about an inch and still snowing, 30 degrees.

Update

Still snowing, 6 inches, wet snow and we lost 2 tree limbs.

Not fun.

We ended up with 8 inches of heavy wet snow. Sore back from shoveling decks.
