Fall isn't coming here. It IS here. I was wrong about the tomatoes too. Punches in bunches. I've been mowing for four days now and still won't finish. Rain, rain, rain. An hour here and an hour there. Plush is what the yard is. :)   By the time I'm done, I'll be starting over again. Leaves are falling off the stressed trees and it's hard to keep up. A moutian of clippings and leaves.  But....it is pretty.

We've had a squirrel explosion this year.  Driving the dog nuts. :crackup:So many on the ground he gets confused on which to chase first. It's hilarious. :rollin:

We’ve finally gotten a couple of decent rains. Some green coming back. Still no mowing though. A little weed eating to level out the lawn. Probably some seeding in the spring. It will be interesting to see if any trees that turn brown recover. Temperature is still mid upper 90s low 70s at night.

No way I could live there with that heat. Sure you get some cooler weather in winter but the summer heat means I would live indoors.

45 this morning, high 65-70.

It’s bad for about 3 months. You do your yard work early then chill indoors. The other 7 months are pleasant mostly. Even if you get a cold snap it’s over in a couple of days. I’ve done both. I’ll take this.

I've lived in Iowa, Illinois, Colorado, Utah, and West Texas. It's all pretty with each having its good points and bad. Overall, they seem to balance out. Dirt never made me happy. There are some areas I will/would/have visit(ed) but would never move to. Not a fan of extreme humidity which pretty much nixes everything from central Texas east and south of Kentucky. No fan of dense population.  (Both coasts.)  Also, not a fan of 10 months of deep winter and 2 months of bad skiing. (Rocksprings Wyoming). Yea, I'm pretty good with where I'm at and happy to visit the rest.

We got our first decent cold front with needed rain. The temperature now is 60s-80s. My favorite time of the years is here until July.

It's been great here the past two weeks.  Low 80's and high 60's at night but tonight we are getting hit with a cold front. Going down to 48 tonight and only 60 for high tomorrow. Maybe now I can have a fire outside and enjoy it. Only thing is come Tuesday back to current weather for at least the next week.  I can handle that.
