garagerog Posted January 26, 2024 Posted January 26, 2024 Got up to 82 today. 2nd day for the year that I've had to turn the a/c on. Usually don't have to turn it on for the first time for the year until February. 1

diyer2 Posted February 5, 2024 Author Posted February 5, 2024 The county plowed yesterday morning. Got the SUV unstuck. Wasn't fun but the weather was nice. 1

Good neighbors get free beer and car repairs when I’m recovered. Hopefully you can find those kind of neighbors up there. 1

They will need that Colorado River Basin water to help replenish Lake Mead. 1
diyer2 Posted February 6, 2024 Author Posted February 6, 2024 With 15 inches of heavy snow to plow it was difficult with the ATV. It weighs about 800lbs with the plow attached. Got it stuck in the ditch when it slid out of control trying to push heavy snow. I got the truck out to pull it out of the ditch. First time the truck has moved in a long time. It's on a battery maintainer, it started as if it was parked yesterday. We have 2 entrances on our driveway, the ATV was blocking one entrance. The other entrance was covered with 15 inches of snow and it has an uphill grade, plus there was a 3 foot high pile of snow across the entrance from the county plowing the road. I needed to go out the other entrance so I could back up to the ATV to pull it out. I was concerned that if the truck got stuck it would be a bad situation. Used 4 low and went slow to avoid tire spinning, handled it no problem. Pulled the ATV out and back to plowing. There are predicting more snow Wed. Fri. and Sat. Let it snow! 3
diyer2 Posted February 7, 2024 Author Posted February 7, 2024 30 degrees, 25 mph winds, snowing hard. Running out of room to plow snow. 1
