2019 Sierra AT4. My body line is 1/2” off. And 1/2 sunk in width wise. So far I have gotten no where with the dealership. They first told me this was not a warranty issue and I was going to have to live with it. If anyone gets any traction. Please let me know. I am extremely disappointed. Thanks

Try another dealership or call GM. I don't get why many people here don't fight back with their dealership's response when they know it's BS. Spending this much money, if a dealership told me to "live with it" I'd raise hell.

I took mine in and my service advisor agreed right away that it needed to be adjusted and scheduled an appointment with the body shop for me.

Yes actually. It goes in today for new body/box pin  alignment. Gm has said most likely the alignment pins were incorrect placed when mounted and crushed cause the lift in the box. I will post on here as soon as I get it back tomorrow. I have been in contact with GM via Facebook. They have been super fast and responsive

My trucks bed is over to drivers side over half inch 2019 at4, and also had to replace leaf springs, as they were moving vertically, squeaky and banging, truck has never haul any weight or been off road , dealer said they’d have to hog out the holes , not sure I want that , I have photos , can’t figured out how to post them

Hello,

I just got a 2020 Chevy 1500 Trail Boss from Autonation North in Denver and it has the same issue regarding the misaligned box. I noticed it a week after I purchased the vehicle. I took it into the dealer and they said the only way to correct the issue was to drill holes into the bed. They told me that there was no possible adjustment with the pins. So did the dealer remove the pins on your truck and put new ones to realign the bed? Who can I contact for this issue?

Chalk up another 2020 AT4. It’s a month old and I noticed it. Curious:

- HOW re-align it? Some mention crushed pins, drilling the bed?

- I have a cap ordered that should be here in two-three weeks. Curious now noticeable it’s going to be with a cap on?

Not sure how everyone else is doing on this, but like "mistaare" and "Dexter Jensen" my White Sierra is the same.  I had Hector, with GM come out to the Gunn Dealer in Selma/Schertz Texas, who also agreed the bed of the truck was not correct.  He stated that it was the first one he had seen, and I stated that I could take him down the line of trucks that are on the lot for sale, and show him five more just like it, which of course he declined.  I also explained to him that the bumper was out of alignment, but he explained that once the bed was fixed it would even up the bumper correctly.  When I asked if they where going to repair it, he said they would take care of it, but would get back in contact with me. After a few weeks of waiting, I called the dealer to see what was going on, and they told me to bring the truck in to have it corrected.  Just got a phone call from Gunn who stated that the bed cannot be moved as it is riveted to the frame, and the only adjustment that could be done was to move the cab of the truck.  Dealer said it looked much better, which it doesn't, but that the bumper was still not correct and they would have to have get another approval from GM.  I told the dealer to keep the truck and see what other dealers are doing to get this corrected, as I feel if you physically moved the cab then something else has to now be out of alignment.  Needless to say, I can see this being a battle as it seems many others have experienced.  I've only been in the truck for 4 weeks, and they have had more than I have.  I pretty much told them if they can't fix it find another truck, and get it switched, as this is ridiculous.  I thank Dexter for posting the work order, as I will be taking this to them to show them how they can get it corrected the right way.

I stopped and talked to Dealer a couple days ago. He told me the pins probably got crushed and they could loosen 6 bolts that attack the bed to the frame, TRY to shimmy/shift it over some but there isn’t a lot of room for movement. He took pictures and said he was going to contact GM to get it approved.

I spoke with a local body shop today, that I have been friends of for quit some time, and was told the beds are removable since they have to do so when working on cabs of trucks when involved in accidents.  Told me the dealer should have never moved the cab if they truly did, as that would drive off the alignment of everything else on the front in or cause the vehicle to look like its tracking or floating from behind.  They also then asked if the frame was bent if the bumper itself is off as well, since the bumper typically attaches to the frame.  As many stated though, they stated the bed should have been removed, re-pinned and aligned to match the cab and the bumper, not vice versus.

Mine is still at the dealer, as they are supposes to have a meeting with the GM of the dealership, service manager, service adviser, and Hector from General Motors to figure out what they are going to do.  Will keep everyone advised.

Just got off the phone with Michael Valle (Service Manager) at Gunn GMC/Buick, and they may possibly buy the truck back.
