Flex fuel kit

Has anyone got the DSX Tuning flex fuel kit on their truck?  It looks like it is plug and play with no cutting of stock fuel line required although I cannot confirm.  I cannot find any installation instructions or photos of the installed kit.

There is another kit by CJparts but it requires cutting the fuel line (it even includes the tubing cutter).

You installed that Whipple, right? You might want to make sure you have enough fuel pressure and big enough injectors to run E85 with the SC.

you cut the line. Better question for you....Why it is same price or cheaper to buy all the stock flex fuel parts then go into the HPT and enable flex fuel. Then it is all plug and play. there is a post some where around here with all the parts. E85 and a few supporting mods is worth so really good power.

I crawled under the truck and traced the fuel lines.  They run the whole length of the framerail - is the whole line taken out and replaced with the flex fuel one?

one line out and the harness is there then 2 lines go back in. If you find the original post on this site he lists all the parts and price. also If memory serves me right many others did the same mod. Some trucks are going to pick it up and be find and others need it turned on.

But in my option same price or lower and all gm plug n play is a huge win.

Just checked yours is disabled.

I think I payed $40 to enable flex fuel. The sensor was $25 I think, then I needed a few fittings and a hose. Then I extended the wires at the harness under the truck because I have a crew cab.

I already owned HP Tuners so that part was free for me.

Where is this picture located on the truck?  On top of the gas tank?  I've crawled under my truck and the two fuel lines on the frame rail disappear behind the EVAP canister.  I cannot see anything that resembles this picture.  It appears I just need the two quick connect hoses and the sensor.  Is it more complicated than this?

Why all the talk of the need to cut the metal tubing and/or replace it all the way back to the engine?

I spent 65.00 buck to add my flex fuel sensor to my 6.2.  Read this thread

and here is the guy on Youtube I followed to do it.  He has three video's about it I think.  Even went into how to Enable it in HP tuner.

Thanks for the responses guys.  Here is the way the line looks on my truck.  I don't think the straight fittings would work...I'm going to have to get creative with the plumbing to fit the sensor in there.

Correct.  The parts that he listed allow you to connect the sensor to the hard steel line that you disconnect from the flex line there at the tank.  Easy.

So those fittings are just like the quick connect ones on the stock air intake box?  If so I'm doing this.

Not "just like" but similar.

Ok, obviously a very crude drawing on my phone, but I think I've got a plan.  I'm going to disconnect the nylon line elbow coming from the fuel pump at the hard line.  Then the sensor will go into that elbow.  Then a quick-connect 90 deg. elbow on the other side of sensor, a short section on nylon tubing, and another elbow to connect back to the hard line.  The two elbows (at each end of the blue line) will point toward the back of the truck.  Then the short section of nylon tubing can just loop around on top of the tank to connect the two elbows.  I also have a harness extension coming too so I won't have to cut & splice anything.  Looking forward to trying some E-85.
