Does the 90 day rule still apply to curing process before you apply a coat of wax to new paint

have heard mixed reviews on the google searches I did

thank you

I only waited 30 days before I had paint correction and a ceramic Pro done, I will never wax again, but had no issues after only 30 days.

It would if they still used paint that takes time for the volatile vehicle used for spraying evaporates and the pint fully cures.

The crap on new cars is microscopically thin electrostatically charged coat of colored dust melted on in an oven then sprayed with a water based coat of Jello hard clearcoat giving a shiny but slight orange peel like finish. This crap can be waxed immediately after arriving at the dealer.

But iof you had body work or real paint touch up or rework with a sprayed on lacquer finish, better wait a few weeks before working it hard.

Even if a body shop does paint work it can be worked almost immediately. The next day it can be wet sanded, compounded and waxed. Back in the old acrylic enamel days 30 + days but not today.
