FYI if having windshield replaced

Just a heads up the windshield has changed in the 19s and Safelite was unaware. Luckily the technician noticed before he cut my old one out, but he did not bring the proper glass with him. In the attached photo you see an angled cut out. In the glass he brought it was rounded there as was the case with previous generations.

so basically - just tell them it’s the new body not legacy. That should already be on their list of questions to ask.

The appointment was booked via my VIN so safelite must not have the correct part number associated with it.

Appointment #2 and safelite brought a different incorrect windshield. Now they are ordering direct through Chevy. My warning stands, even if they know you are in a new body style check the new windshield before they cut yours out.

Wow. I would be a little peeved.

These trucks have been out for a year now.

I can see the 1st mistake. But, they darn well shoulda been right the 2nd time.

Hope ya get it fixed/replaced soon.

Just a guess but if similar to the new gen Traverse it may be on purpose. The 18+ Traverses use "acoustic glass" in the front windshield supposedly to reduce noise. Different shape requirements may be linked to different glass construction?????
