Tire rubbing noise only in 4wd

I have a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Z71 that is making some severe rubbing noises when turning in 4wd. I've owned this truck for over 4 years and have never had this issue. I am wondering if the wrong oil/low oil level in my transfer case could be the cause as I recently had the transfer case serviced. I have confirmed with GM that it requires ATF, and that is what was used in the recent service, so I'm wondering if anyone has any insight on this for me? It has factory tire size with factory rims, and doesn't make the noise when 4wd is not engaged so I'm positive it's not a tire rubbing issue. I should also mention that i'm in Canada and we had 1' of snow on the ground when this was noticed, so it's not a dry road issue.

Thanks for any help peeps!!

I can't see it being a transfer case issue as it is always in operation regardless of 2wd or 4wd, the output shafts still spin regardless as well as the front driveshaft. The issue is more likely to be found in the front diff or axles or the actuator that engages 4x4. Since you say it happens only when turning in 4x4 I would investigate the CV axle shafts. Take your wheels off and see if you can find play in either front CV with a prybar. I could just be a bit of slippage on the snow causing a biting, or grinding effect. It is a pretty common complain on dry surfaces, if the snow was hard packed or sanded it can provide pretty good traction and cause the effect to happen. Try it a few more times, if the noise persists check the CV's out.
