2018 Sierra Denali Front Park Assist Sensors

Fellas, just wanted to ask if anyone else has experienced this before:  we got a considerable amount of freezing rain, ice pellets and eventually snow yesterday for several hours.  On my way to the airport I saw a message in the information cluster that I believe said “ park assist disabled “.   Is it because the little round sensors on the bumper are coated in ice?  Sorry if it’s a silly question...I’ve never owned anything with these sensors, Didn’t  realize they could be thrown off so easily....

Thanks

Mine as well. Any time there’s. A little ice on the bumper mine says it’s blocked and then turns the system off. So I try to park facing the front into the sun and it’s back to normal and I get back in later on.

It was raining light the other day and I was doing slower city driving and mine were going off like something was in front of me.. I guess water droplets sitting on them. Went away after I hit highway speeds I guess bc when I slowed down it wasn’t doing it anymore [emoji2371]

I wish mine would just shut down.  Instead they flake out and randomly tell me I way to close to something when there is nothing there at all.  Even rain and dirt messes them up.  I wish I could permanently disabled them.  I never would have ordered them, but this truck was off the lot so I didn't get to order it.

Mine do that too. Pretty poor implementation of this great feature. I have 2 Nissans with parking assist and they never go off during rain/freezing conditions.

Never had issues with my ATS but with the Denali, any midwest precipitation starts to cause all sorts of issues. Will either disable the driver assist or beeps when I am not near anything. Stinks but it is what it is..

you have a bad sensor. mine would do that. the front center would always go off randomly. so i swapped the inside sensors to the outside and outside to inside to test. sure enough the right front sensor was now going off randomly. got the replacement sensor form advance auto and now all is well.

the sensor i got from advance is the exact same as oem both made by bosch advance part just doesn't have GM logo and is $40 not $150.

Haven't had that problem yet, and I do live up in the mountains( even though it's southern CA, yes, the left coast) I've had it caked with ice or snow, and also wet during rains and going very slow.  So far no issues.

I have a Z71, so the sensors are paint matched.  Can you buy them color matched at the local parts store?

No they all come black raw plastic. You just paint to match.

Did you try shutting them off in the personalization menus or just with the dash switch?
