Ah ok

I have the bucket seats in the front no Bose truck. Tons of room under there. Very easy to get wires in there.

I hear the alternator is controlled by the bcm. I wonder if theres a way to program for better charging. Maybe wams can do it?

US alternators makes a PCM controller but it doesn’t work with the new four pin Gm plug as of yet

Maybe I’m mistaken

Does our trucks have the 2 pin? I was under impression they were the 4. If they are 2 then I believe the us alternator pcm module will work.

Yep our trucks have the 2 pin alt. I think the 4 pin was a body style or two ago.

Well then! Lol. I didn’t even go look in my truck hah

I believe it will work then. They are backordered untill January. They make 2 models. One with fixed voltage. One with adjustable.

Im looking into them now. I really think that module will do the job. For some reason I'm thinking there's more to getting the charging where it needs to be then a simple alternator swap. Im thinking the alternator acts like a light bulb and the regulator the dimmer switch. Meaning it generates the same output based on what its told. So im thinking what ever factory control commands it wont do as needed. Hence reason someone made that regulator.
Looks like I'm adding another item to the list.

Yeah im gonna pick this up after I swap my start batt and get an isolator. I bet the stock alternator will handle the load. If not I'll step up to the 220a 3500 alt.
