a new aftermarket radio, most likely :(  Man that sucks!!  I love XM.  My life has been far more enjoyable ever since abandoning the shitty AM and FM stations and their shitty commercials.

New aftermarket radio?  Not sure I understand what you mean by that.

The truck has a factory infotainment unit.

That factory infotainment unit is the issue, that's why I threw out there an aftermarket radio with XM capabilities, then you won't keep having this issue :)  It's the factory stuff that is shitty and having the issues and doesn't seem to be very much attention towards fixing them from GMs part.

Mine does this Occasionally, I go in to settings, then running applications, then force stop on the XM app and then the app starts right back up immediately and works.

Interestingly, I have noticed that when the sat radio signal is lost, my OnStar won't connect either.  Can someone else confirm this on their truck?
