How did you get the badging darker? Also, side mirrors, how did you get the dark inserts?

The duramax badge and mirror lights are tinted.

Great looking truck! I working on the same tool box set up as you do. I’m having an issue with the weather guard box. There is about a 1/4” gap between the back of the box and the bed. Dis you have the same issue? And how did you address it?

Thanks!! I do have that problem and haven’t addressed it yet. I’m hoping to find some weatherstripping that will work.

Thanks for the reply. I just ordered some weatherstripping off of Amazon and I’ll see how that works out. I’ll update you with what I used if it solves the issue. Here’s a pic of my truck so far. Still waiting on the bed cover and frosted fender lights, but installed the tool box and console safe already. 02098572dbba45ff46ee3bf33fcebbd1.jpg

So here’s what I did. I used the z shaped weatherstripping on the underside of the gap in the tool box. I then put the tailgate seal along the top rail of the bed, so that the lip over hangs the edge. When you install the tool box make sure the z strip overlaps over the tailgate seal. I haven’t tested it yet, but in theory it should keep most of the water out. d487c765b1b0344004da6e9e0c77184c.png45320de9ec59738919bf0192adf4d3c5.pngce567a83fec3407c35c52c258e4a2833.jpgc9809f103bec0d4fded0733b661de6dc.jpg9056abd38fee5cee3952da0779e18674.jpg

So far, I’ve done the 6.5” BDS lift. JTX Forged 26x12 Grip wheels, AMP 37x13.50r26 tires, color matched the GMC logos, debadged all the sides and the tailgate. I have a Retrax Pro XR on the way for the back. Bulletproof 12” drop hitch.

^ Looks good.

Now all that’s left is color matching those bed steps, tint or frosted molding lights, and matching front tint.  Then it will be as clean as they come.

I’m going to do tint after we move back to Texas in a couple months. They allow darker tint. The rest is all in the works. GM needs to correct a paint issue and then I’m going to do all the other color matching and put on some AMP steps.

What exhaust or exhaust tip is that?

I did my own exhaust set up with a 4” to 5” Flopro vented bend pipe and a plain and simple clean 5” to 6” stainless tip from amazon. Cost me about $200 Canadian.
