KYB Mono Max on a 1500

Is anyone running KYB Mono Max shocks on the rear of their 1/2 ton?  I'm kinda set on KYB but between the Gas-A-Just and the Mono Max...  I haul and tow probably once a week so I want something a little firmer but don't want to bounce around when unloaded.  I have read some great reviews on the Mono Max but most of them were written by 3/4 ton owners.

Thanks!

I had them on my 04 and wasn't happy with them. Switched to bilstein 5100s and haven't looked back. Put them on my 15 within weeks of buying it.

Thanks for the information.  What weren't you happy with? Too bouncy? Overall ride quality?

Combination of both. They were slightly better than Monroe monotubes, but far from the Bilstein. I would just get the bilstein and be done, unless you want to step up to something more high end.

The KYB's on my 2002 I put on at 100k and now at 194k and I like the way it rides.  Better than stock for sure.

Almost anything rides better than stock, but in the same price range kyb isn't the best option. Don't get me wrong, they are a good shock.
