Regear or Procharger

Got a 2018 5.3 Silverado lifted with a  6 inch lift on 35's. I have the opportunity to either regear or add a procharger but not both.  I am not entirely sure what gears I currently have. I am not track racing and this is a daily driver with approx 32000 on the clock. Which would be better to get done? Fuel eco is not top priority and I do not tow with the truck currently. Having some fun and keeping my truck the best it can be for the longest I can as a daily driver is my ultimate goal.

supercharger will take away from reliability due to the extra moving parts, extra stress, heat etc. Larger numerical gear ratios will have thinner teeth on the ring gear, making them ultimately weaker than lower numerical gear ratios.  Pick your poison. If it's a daily driver just save the money for when they 6speed takes a shit lol

Welcome to this forum! Sounds like you may have a nice truck.  Pictures are always appreciated on this forum.   I have no first hand experience with your question but a regear would be my choice. This could effectively make up for the loss created by the larger wheels without altering your engine and giving up any hope of warranty work.  There are good online calculators to help you pick the correct ratio.  Switching to 33's next tire change may also give you some surprising improvements!

Not really true at all, I've had a PC D1SC on my 17 Camaro SS making 650hp to the wheels for almost 2 years now with zero issues. Reliability all depends on who tunes it.

How could you not know what gears you have?
That was one of the first things I look at on the window sticker.

It's been my experiance that truck buyers that don't have towing experiance or requirements don't look at gear ratio.

They buy by options and color.

Grocery getters, shuttle duty.

So - The plan to regear was always in the cards - I just had the money to do the procharger so that was why I asked the question. As of last Saturday it became a moot point though as I decided to trade my truck towards a 2020 Trail Boss. I got lucky and did not take too much of a bath on the trade in.

Did you check to see what gears this one has?

Yes - 3.23 - I am planning on leaving this truck alone for a while so I am good for at least a year or two lol
