Lots of those "we just want to get back to our lives, we'll follow rules so we can do that" people out there...

Michigan: Person shoots guard in the head when he won't let them into store without a mask.

Beaches/Parks: Everywhere, not a lot of social distancing, bazillion warning given out.

Oklahoma: officials had to remove regulations for wearing masks because workers in multiple stores and restaurants were being threatened by people not wearing masks

Texas: A  park ranger telling people to disperse into a park to maintain social distancing, is made fun of, and pushed into a lake.

Truly special people.  You have zero guesses who their god is.

There is confusion when citizens and local gov interpret the Proposed federal Guidelines for restarting the economy any way they want.  The Guidelines should have been a hard document to be interpreted only by the federal gov.  The Guidelines allow the federal gov to back protestors or local gov.  The answer to restarting the economy is not coming from the federal gov, everyone should know by now that unless a majority of the citizens get on the same page locally, a consumer like me will not have the confidence to go out and spend.

Sorry Zip. Mostly cut and paste from the CDC site to correct misinformation.

Not you man, it's me. Over 4 decades of a military environment made me a to the point person.  My wife continues to work on that.

"Truth, you can't handle the truth"!

Don't know why that popped into my head

Ya know people, once the :bs: gets just ankle deep you can't see the floor anymore. It's kind of the point of :bs: isn't it?

The real experts tell us 'I don't know'. The 'other' experts agree on nothing. The 'news' experts are paid. Anyone with an axe to grind has an expert. There's even experts to discredit experts.

Dad use to say, "An expert is a drip under pressure".

Don't change, that's a nice quality to have.

Arkansas did not have a state lockdown.

80 deaths.

Oklahoma has a state lockdown.

230 deaths, only 25% more population than AR(50% less related  (it's a regional joke)

with the correction(which isn't being reported, go figured), the death countbhas been lowered by 30k.

17-18 flu was worse

In my opinion, nothing should have been on lockdown, Arkansas has a low death rate.  Sweden didn’t lockdown, they did herd immunity,  of course the immune compromised folks were protected.  Why couldn’t we have done something like this?   So many ppl were sick in dec-feb including myself, never in my life was i ever That sick before.  I’ve like many that were so sick probably already had this.

I agree with that statement, had something at the end of March that I could not shake.

Missed more time from work that I have in the last 25 years combined, could not see a doctor in person, so did a virtual visit, which was a waste of time.

Then finally was able to do a Zoom meeting with my real doctor, she ending up prescribing a powerful antibiotic which finally cleared most of it out of my system.

But my question has been all along, how many types of the virus (mutations) we will see, and how many will our bodies build an immunity too?

Yeah originally prescribed amoxicillin, that did absolutely nothing! My doctor gave me something more stronger and within time i felt better.    Hold on to ur shirts! A new mutation of this ****** is coming! I posted a link to it in this thread!

In this country there were as many decisions as you have states, what states did was not the issue.  In an emergency and you don't receive clear guidance such as a  "Proposal", senior leaders had no choice but to make a decision.  This situation could have been worse, states had the option to do nothing.

This is what I was given, need another 5 days work (at least I think so), but it only comes in a 5 day supply.

azithromycin 250 MG tablet
Commonly known as: ZITHROMAX
You are correct, it will get worse, the media will lull us away from it, as they always do, and they will have big news again in the fall when the S### hits the fan again, that is whay I am going to hold onto my pants instead of my shirt?

I wanna share a little something with those following this thread, my other half has cancer, diagnosed last summer in July, we were all sick over the winter 6wks just about. I feel like I’ve already had this, never in my life was i so Sick, sick to the point i was home for a little over a week from work.  Those that know me, i never miss work unless one of my kids is sick, they rarely get sick.  My daughter and i had something that she missed almost 2wks of school.   I am not by any means a germaphobe but am very mindful because of my other half’s condition.  He is on his way to getting much better, he was told in July when diagnosed that he probably wouldn’t see sept/October of 2019.  By me telling everyone this, because of his issue, i freak out and don’t let him go out to stores to do normal everyday living stuff.  I go out and do it all. I’m pretty sure if i wasnt As sick as i was Over the winter, i would Have caught this by now when I’m out and about

I admire the attitude, and that is how I have been treating things, tired of living in fear.

Hopefully, you had the bad strain and your body will fight off lesser versions of it.

    • I find it amusing the OP doesn’t realize this threads heading includes several engines. He should have posted in the off topic section if he wanted a more narrow focus. I really appreciate and find amusing that he actually pointed out one of my many vehicles. The Odyssey. That happens to use 0-20 oil. I love pushing his buttons.
    • Maybe, but it seems he is the only one that has backed up data to prove what he is stating. I think he is doing this more because he enjoys it and wants to get the information out to us. He's got the knowledge and access to the proper equipment and having the funds doesn't hurt.  I would love to do what he is doing and would do it if and when I hit the Powerball.  I'm not a Tribologist by any means but love to learn what I can.   I would bet there would be doubting people out there if a completely independent lab with high quality work and highly respected in the automotive industry, put out information like this.  The world can't be pleased, one just has to take the information that they are given, do more of their own research to find actual lab data to back up what they are trying to figure/find out.  Most don't bother, they just want to believe what they first see.     I don't have the minimax but my 6.2 in my 2019 Silverado with 64k miles shows excellent UOA results with 0w-20 and for my own purposes 5w-20.  Since not much of a change using 5w. I liked the data sheet information on the SS 5w-20 and figured I would give it a try.  Still the same viscosity at 100℃.   In the end we all just do what makes us happy, life is too short to get upset over trivial social media.   On a side note, I do feel GM has dropped the ball and just cares about the bottom dollar and not quality anymore.  "Like a Rock" has been long gone.  Seems "Built Ford Tough" has as well.
    • Better than stock but that's like putting lipstick on a pig
    • Hello, my 3 month old Sierra Elevation wont recognize a trailer with electric brakes? All the lights work correctly, but no power to the brakes?   This is the factory installed brake controller. If you manually push the knob, the display shows the power % but does not light up like my 2022 silverado.   I have an appointment with the dealer, but was checking to see if anyone else has seen this issue.    Thanks,
    • Been using SS 0w-20 from new, but wanted to change to the 5w-20 because I liked the data on the data sheet, to me it seems like a little better product. But as you can see, not much difference. This is also with running a mix of 10 gallons E85 to a tank topped with 93. It isn't a flex fuel vehicle so any higher I get a CEL for running lean on both banks. Yes my mileage takes a hit. Instead of 20 mpg I normally get on trips I get 17mpg. This is also using EaO17 filter.  What is amazing is I have the AMSOIL cone filter on it since I have the GM Performance intake installed and that air filter has 44k miles on it.  I just take it out and shop vac it off once a year.  I use the upholstery tool on my shop vac.  Works well.
