Yup, the whole world has fabricated this event, just to hurt Trump.

Look up H1-N1. I rest my case.

Last post to you. 300K hospitalizations, about 16K deaths, millions affected just in the US. Obama was president the media praise him for calling an emergency after 1000 deaths. Not much news coverage. No panic, not much change. No gearing up for the next pandemic, Right now there’s 200 cases of new cases every year. It probably gets lumped in to the other 19-30K flu deaths a year. So yea probably has nothing to do with the mostly liberal news media or Trump being president. Silly me.

Honestly, a 2٪ death rate to mostly the already weak and sick is a really shitty bioweapon. You could show the same general stats for flu every year for a news headline (why dont they?). Dallas mayor just closed everything and stated that they were now the most aggresive city in TX vs covid19. LOL! This is 100٪ political...

Ops, couple of decimal off. OMG I made a mistake. :) 10 in 100. Yep that's worse. You do know that antibiotics are ineffective against viruses I'm sure.

My Grandfather (maternal) was in the service in 1919. They stacked bodies like cord wood where he was stationed. He was one of those bodies on the stack. Month of November. About 30 minutes later he walks back in the barracks fevered out of his mind butt naked asking where his clothes were. Nurses dropped. He stuck around till 1957.

I do know that It is not the virus that kills you, it is the complications that can develop from the viral infection.... especially in the older crowd ....and antibiotics are excellent for treating bacterial infections like pneumonia. If you development a lingering viral infection and unchecked congestion ..... antibiotics will be prescribed, otherwise unchecked you'll drown in your own juices and/or from congestive heart failure.

Thank God,we have come along way, ain't nobody putting leeches on me,so,I just got back from the store,no shortage of t.p. here,so I'm good to go,pun intended

Come a long way?.....not so when it comes to leeches! Leeches are considered a medical device and as such regulated by the FDA.  Actually specially bred for use in some post op surgeries and injuries to remove infected blood and promote wound drainage.  Also good if you have a really bad black eye.

Crazy medicine? Well so is Crazy Glue which is frequently used to seal off brain aneurysms by neurosurgeons.

And yet, just today Trump is saying this problem can last until July or August, and that gatherings should be limited to under 10 people.

I guess he's in on the plot to destroy himself too...

He has no choice. Imagine the media if he did exactly as Obama did. Same media, same democratic leaders in congress. Exactly the same.

It’s easy to look up. The H1-N1 global deaths were close to 600K.

Yup, cuz if there is anything we've learned over the last 3 years, is that Trump follows along with mainstream media and does what they want.

Or he just realized a large part of his base is old people.

This obviously different. When he closed the border to China they screamed. Same old same old. But you can’t be convinced otherwise anyhow. As you can see most people can see it. Wait a week. People are going to say BS on this. I rather take a risk and be free. This is not freedom. I know how to wash my hands.

This is from the CDC website on H1N1 https://www.cdc.gov/flu/pandemic-resources/2009-h1n1-pandemic.html.  There are no concrete numbers only estimates.  The National Security Counsel had a Pandemic division but it was eliminated by this administration.  I won't make excuses for either political party since they're both equally annoying.  But what made H1N1 different from COVID-19 is that it was a form of flu.  The flu is dangerous because when severe it can cause bacterial pneumonia.  This however, is treatable with antibiotics.  COVID-19 is dangerous because it attacks the lower respiratory tract and is viral, meaning that antibiotics will not work against it.  So anyone with damaged lungs are in severe danger if they contract COVID-19.  This is why it's being treated differently.

I hope for everyone's sake that they get this under control and that we were overcautious as opposed to what could happen.  I wish my family could treat this as passively as some, but my wife's doctors have told us how bad it would be if she caught COVID-19 with her Cystic Fibrosis.  And I'm not trying to be a single dad anytime soon.

Trump has been right from the get go, Lessons learned, we as a nation need to separate ourselves, becoming independent from China, we are the most powerful and richest country on the planet and don’t need our resources globalized by China.

The flu needs nothing else to kill you. This and flu - in rare cases - fill alveoli with fluid causing hypoxia needing mechanical ventilation or ECMO. You can catch the flu when you have coronavirus. You can catch hiv when you have bacterial pneumonia. You certainly can catch bacterial pneumonia with coronavirus. There is no sickness that fends off another sickness. In fact, having any infection opens you to other infections, and deaths most often occur with multiple infections - its the straw that breaks the camels back...

Just wash your hands - better than any sanitizer...

Washing your hands is preferred.  Hand sanitizer is a good second best when you don't have access to soap and water.

    • Hi all - my current truck is a 2022.5 1500 High Country 3.0. I bought the truck used last year. After doing some digging, I noticed that my truck's software is stuck on the original build from 2022. I have no available software updates. I talked to my dealer about this and they recommended not trying to force an update since the 36,000 mile warranty is expired. This is a big bummer since there have been many major releases since that have fixed small issues and improved speed/usability.   For reference, the current software build number is: full_gminfo37_gb-user 10 W158E-W164.4.2-QIH22B-563.3 158 release-keys Has anyone had a similar experience? Should I just forget about it and move on, or try a different dealer?
    • Sure. Buy it for me 🤣
    • Using zip ties but 2-3 they snap due to sharp edges. Just using a shoestring. Last longer. 🤣
    • I ordered the Snap On...waiting for it to come in later this week or early next week.   New front cover, new crank seal and new balancer are on. Water pump, pulley, fan, hoses, and plastics reinstalled. I can move forward knowing all my timing marks are dead on and the front engine is hopefully sealed better than it was. Take 2 with the water pump...trying high temp thread sealer on the lower bolts.   Rebuilt injector and new-new regulator is in, it looks like new. Top intake reassembled and all the bits are reconnected and snugged down.   Thinking about knock sensors again, I located both of mine and, there's your problem, Francis... The driver's side one is broke, plastic is bashed in, part of the wire is bare, and it appears to have been damaged like that for a long time. I saw the wire but didn't think anything of it. The knock sensor might not be my pulled timing issue, but it sure looks suspect. It must still be conducting, otherwise I'd expect a CEL. But perhaps with its sacred crystal inside exposed, jilted and dirty, maybe it's sending mixed signals. So I'm waiting for one of those and a new pigtail to come in. Pass side sensor looks good, except for the spark plug wire resting on it (!). The plug wires are healthy so it shouldn't be causing an issue, but I separated them and added zip ties to nearby looms to keep everything well apart.   So, I'm down to installing a knock sensor AND, oh, replacing the exhaust and cat. I actually think that's going to be fairly easy, it's all bolt-together, all new stuff from Walker is laid out on the shop floor ready to go. Hopefully have this thing on the road again for the weekend.   My luck? It will still be leaking oil, coolant, pulled timing, intermittent CEL for running rich, or it probably won't run at all -- because that's how this project has gone.   I've never worked on a vehicle so ...hurt? ...cursed? in my life. Everything has been effed with SO HARD, but I think...knock on wood...I've managed to undo all the backyard stuff and we're almost reset back to "just" an 80k mile, 30 year old Blazer.
