Icon tubular UCA

I'm sorry, but that video sounds utterly ridiculous.  The UCA is just holding the wheel upright and moving in a specific plane, and it's the same plane for both UCAs, it's the spring & shock that controls how it feels, and going even a slightly different speed over the same road can have a big difference in how bumps feel.

IMHO.

yeah I didn't get anything from that and it doesn't really show anything

you would have to get  videos side by side showing same road and bumps at same speed and synchronized which would be really tough to do I imagine..aftermarket UCA just has better articulation for lift height and allows the wheel to flow more freely with less resistance.....lower arn takes a bigger beating than upper arm.....am sure any of the major brands are fine,

filthy motorsports recommended camburg and SPC (replaceable joint) when I talked to Ben....Camburg is right down the street from me and SPC doesn't have an arm ready yet but I like the fact the joint is easily replaced and adjustable I believe

hopefully your buddy gets something out of ICON for that mess......

Speaking with Accutune, they recommended the ICONs with Delta Joint due to it being sealed and cutting down on a lot of squeeking.

I ended up going with the BajaKits UCA with Uniball with Delrin Bushings instead of the polyurethane bushings. Which are supposed to be harder and squeak and have less movement.

Havent got them in yet but their staff was very good to work with over email.

Have you installed the BajaKits UCA yet and if so what are your impressions? How do you use your truck?

Another name that was recommended to me was JBA Off-road since I don’t plan on doing any major off-roading. They haven’t come out with arms for the ‘19-20’s yet though.

yeah I thought about JBA too but same deal not ready.....JBA are nice....can unbolt the joint throw new on and range of motion plus price is good.....camburg is down the street but seems like its more high maintenance and racing type, I don't want to be that involved though sure some are and its great product....the ball is huge on those things......I kinda want a set it and forget it and if needed easily replaceable...plus I like the red....

ben @ filthy recommended the JBAs and camburgs but thought JBA better for person doing mild offroading

That’s exactly what I’m looking for too. I want quality, durable, low maintenance.

I do think the red really looks sharp. But I’m going for a different look and would want to get them powder coated gloss black. The joint section looks easy enough to take apart, but how difficult is it for someone to take out the bushings in order to powder coat and then put back in? It doesn’t damage them taking out does it?

I spoke with JBA about their timeline and they didn’t know, said R&D is all on hold due to Covid. I can’t think it would take them forever though. Fingers crossed

I called them months ago about my 2019 and he didn't seem eager that's for sure.....think Toyota are their big sellers

No I haven't received them yet.

I haven't heard of or researched the JBA's yet.

Bumping this thread. Anybody got a wheel size in 18s they found that works with ICON tubular delta joint?
