2018 savana 2.8 duramax fuel line clip came off

Was driving my savana 2500 with the 2.8 duramax and noticed white smoke in the rear view mirror. Pulled over and saw it was coming from under the hood and diesel was leaking out under the engine. Got towed to the dealer as it’s under warranty and they said it’s missing a fuel line clip on the line between the high pressure pump and the fuel rail. Part number 55499116. Anyone else experienced anything like this? The clip is on order arriving today but if it’s the actual fuel line the part is on backorder and it could be weeks..... Apparently it’s not interchangeable with the Colorado/canyon fuel lines and not many vans with the 2.8 out there. Thanks,

  For those interested, the Silverado and Sierra websites gained some new details to them. Biggest one being a visualizer of each truck and all trims and colors, on their respective sites. Still no power announcements. New 2027 Silverado | Pickup Truck | Chevrolet 2027 Next Generation Sierra 1500 | Future Vehicles | GMC Colors that stand out/I question. These could change closer to production as well, so my opinion based on the current state of the visualizer. Chevy - Trillium Green. Love it. Its trim locked to Custom Trail Boss, Trail Boss, ZR2 and High Country. Pacific Blue. Nice. But High Country only at the moment. Red. Only one red is shown, Apex Red (which is a nice color and is on the Trax and Trailblazer right now). GMC - Two reds. Cardinal (Red Hot) and Mesa (Apex). No green. WTF. Again. Its possible these may change some as production nears, and when the order guide launches.

  I wonder what I'm doing wrong whenever I hear people say they "don't even feel it back there" when towing 10k+ lbs. I could even feel my old 3,500lb travel trailer. Oh well.

  I just brought home a 2020 GMC 1500 Denali. She has 53K miles on her and I want to change out the fluids over the next few weeks. I see the diff covers don't have drain plugs. Any suggestions where I can pick up front and rear diff covers with drain plugs? Thanks, Bob

  Well, the dealership got the compressor and installed it. Air at the vents seems nice and cold as it should be. The service manager said the repair has a two year warranty and unlimited mileage. Hopefully I don't have to use it. The dealership i went to was one where I bought my 2014 half ton silverado. In 10 years and 168k miles on the truck anything I needed done and two small recalls they were always very good to me. Not a huge dealer either. I think they treat people well because they want you to come back. I have dealt with a different dealer that was too big to care about an individual. Just my two cents.
