They're all scam artists. I used to go to one, but got tired of having to watch them put in the wrong oil. Its also irritating when they leave nice big oily hand marks on your hood and tan leather interior... :sigh:

weird, cause i use a Jiffy Lube for my truck and i've never had them try to sell me anything else. In fact, they told me i could bring my vette in if i wanted to get the oil changed in it for just labor costs. :sigh: (i supply the Mobile One and Oil Filter)

I hate going to those places, but I have to cause I can't change my oil in my Apt. They tried to get me to change diff fluid once at 20K, I smiled, and told 'em to focus on getting the oil filter on tight enough so it doesn't leak when I get home....but I dropped that place, and I found a new one that seems to be pretty good, they never try to rip me, but they always leave the filter loose enough to get seepage???? it really pisses me off.

I'm not suprised at all.

The Ranger only goes to the Ford dealer, which isn't great, but it is better than Jiffy Lube. When we lived in the country we went to a nearby Ford dealer...we knew the people there, so they treated us well.

if they only showed the numbers of how many engines jiffy lube replaces a week or month it would astonish you. :D My mom worked for a parts company which supplied parts to insurance companies and jiffy lube was a regular

the SAFEST way to go is to do it yourself. Those oil those places put in your car for the regular service is the cheapest oil on the market. If you do it your self you save around 50% or more cost, ensure it is done right, and have the satisfaction that is WAS done right. I hope no one on this board goes to Wal-Mart, I can't understand why anyone would want the most incompetent lube techs in the country putting in cheapo "Super Tech" oil in their car. its a BAD combination.
