Sirius/XM Traffic

Does anyone subscribe to SiriusXm traffic and if so does it show up on your infotainment screen? I have the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 Premium System with Navigation and I don't see the traffic reflected in the Washington DC area.

Just use Waze, nothing is better.

I had it when the truck was new. The road would be green, yellow or red depending upon traffic conditions. After the trial was over I re-subbed to XM radio, but I didn't get the traffic stuff. They charge extra for the traffic/weather service and I wasn't willing to pay it when there are much better options out there for less. 

 

I noticed during the last 'free-trial event' they had about a month ago that traffic was showing up again. I won't be subscribing to them again, their customer service and programming have kept going downhill year after year.

I believe on the 2020's the weather and stuff has to be purchased through on-star.  Yesterday I tried to purchase the weather and radar through Sirius and they told me this.  Not sure but I think that applies to traffic also.

You are correct and this also applies to the 2019s (traffic).

well, except for Google Maps. But yea, the mapping apps on your smartphone are better, cheaper, easier to update than any service through OnStar.....

Interesting. Mine must have come back on when GM was having their free 'crisis assist services' promotion due to the Coronavirus.
